Pro-Tip: Brushes.
Use decent brushes. Try a ton of brushes. No, a Winsor Newton #7 wont make you a "pro-painter", but it sure helps getting those fine lines fine.
Don't throw away old brushes. Use them to basecoat, mix paints, delegate them to dry-brush work, use them as mixing sticks… Just don't do detailing with them when the tips start to hook or fray and wonder why your paintjob looks like crap.
Use different brushes for metallics! Nothing sucks more than to see mica crystals in your non metallic paints.

Czech Hedhehog
Some L-beams and plasticard strips arrived today from Antenocitis. Making a bunch of czech hedgehogs for my board. (Some that actually would work stopping a tank. Unlike the ones from GW.)

Ultramarines Venerable...
Finally my crack arrived from Forgeworld.
An Ultramarine venerable dread and a multimelta for the AOBR-dread. Got a bunch of their weathering pigments and the Model Masterclass book as well.
After a brief looking through the book is really nice. Nothing that isn't covered in various places on the internet. But it's nice to have it all in one place.
Another nice thing about the book is that they don't try to pimp their stuff as aggressive as GW does in general. There's a lot of stuff used in the tutorials that isn't GW/FW produced.

Honoured Imperium!
Picked these up a couple of days ago. Scenery is so relaxing and nice to paint compared to minis. Weird.
